LEUCO Tool Corporation began its impactful adventure in the United States in 1979. Through channels of distribution and machinery importers our desire was to impact our market with the promise of innovation, precision, quality and progressive solutions to manufacturers throughout the country.
In 1983, we opened LEUCO Tool Corporation in Illinois to provide the market with a US based technical support, stocked inventory, and a driving salesforce. Only five years later, through much hard work and dedication, we were able to open our first carbide service center. Thereafter, we continued to develop our expertise in sales, delivery, and customer service.
By 1995, LEUCO acquired Henderson Tool in Villa Rica, Georgia, where our story of fast and remarkable company expansion really began to take flight. Due to increasing demands for wood tooling solutions, we hired an engineering team to produce innovative tooling locally. Our team also created and launched our “Lifespan” diamond tool service history program along with our Zero Turnaround Service program. Our innovations, including our HP Spirals, metal working end mills, and inch size sawblade edition have broadened the spectrum of precision tooling with a global impact.
Our North American division is led by President and CEO, Jens Schulz. In his time as President, Jens has driven the growth of LEUCO North America from 45 employees to over 100 in seven divisions across the US and Canada. Among many other awards and accolades, Jens was previously named as one of the Wood Industry’s Top 40 Under 40, and he has served as the treasurer of the Danish-American Chamber of Commerce. Jens speaks fluent Danish, German, and English, and he became a proud citizen of the United States in 2018.
Jens believes that building a family first work culture and a healthy work life balance is a must for successful businesses. He strives on creating a strong leadership structure to manufacture innovative and trend-setting products of the highest quality.
